We provide a cost competitive service for overseas attorneys for filing Patents, Designs and Trade Marks in both Australia and New Zealand.

A.P.T acts for local clients for general mechanical patents and additionally has a strong practice in biotechnology, medically oriented and nutritional patents. Some of the more general technical areas in which APT manages patent portfolios include defence technology, shipping, harvester technologies, architectural and building fixtures, air conditioning and water management.

Our Trade Marks practice, includes managing a number of overseas wine Trade Mark portfolio, particularly in Asia, the United States of America, and Europe, as well as a substantial portfolio of Australian food Trade Marks and pharmaceutical Trade Marks, in addition to a range of others.

The firm has represented and is representing clients in a number of disputes including several involving Australian Patent, Trade Mark and Design matters at IP Australia. We are acting as instructing attorneys in a number of disputes conducted in countries other than Australia and New Zealand. The firm has also been engaged as a member of multidisciplinary teams in a number of complex disputes and in actions before the Australian Federal Court.

Clients include Australian Governmental departments, authorities and research organisations, pharmaceutical companies, tertiary institutions, biotechnology companies, defence contactors, research instituions, many small to medium enterprises and individual innovators as well as a large number of overseas clients.
